vpliv brezposelnosti na pojav freelancerjev v državah EU
Abstract
Najpogostejše panoge, v katerih le-ti delujejo, so pisanje, grafično oblikovanje, računalništvo in računovodstvo.

ǂThe ǂgrowth of self-employment: the impact of unemployment on the emergence of freelancers in EU countries |

Freelancing is a specialized form of contract work performed by an individual for third parties and has been on the rise in recent years. The reason for this is the changing labor market, digitalization and automation. Freelancing, like self-employment, falls under the umbrella of entrepreneurship. All freelancers are self-employed, but not all self-employed persons are freelancers. The most common industries in which they operate are writing, graphic design, computer science and accounting. Freelancing also has a major impact on the labor market itself. It gives companies access to previously inaccessible resources, encourages innovation, reduces risks in the participating company and changes the labor market in such a way that the characteristics and skills of individuals become increasingly important. Many people, however, are forced into freelancing because they have no other alternative. In this paper, we defined the impact of unemployment on freelancing on the basis of theoretical analysis and examples, our own calculations and a survey. We find that more and more people are opting for freelancing, out of a desire for independence and freedom. It means being your own boss, setting your own working hours, working anywhere and with anyone. Many, however, are forced into freelancing. We find that individuals opt for freelancing, due to the lack of other alternatives. Very often, however, the decision to freelance is a combination of one's own desire and lack of other alternatives. |
