Abstract

Mešanice z nižjo viskoznostjo so bolj kavitirale, bolj viskozne pa manj.

Secondary title: Influence of pyrolysis oils on the flow conditions in the injector nozzle of a diesel engine
Secondary abstract: The purpose of this thesis was to determine the impact of the addition of pyrolysis fuels to diesel fuel on the fuel flow conditions in the injection nozzle of a diesel engine. Because pyrolysis oils have different properties than conventional fuels, we can expect different fuel behaviors in the injection nozzle. Numerical simulation of fuel flow in injection nozzle using the AVL FIRE computational program will be used to analyze the problem. The simulations differed in the proportion of pyrolysis oil added to the diesel fuel. Pyrolysis oils were not used as a stand-alone fuel. The simulations were limited to one geometry, the same needle lift, same injection pressure, same operating conditions, and same chamber pressure. After the simulations, it was observed that the properties of fuel mixtures affect the flow conditions and the development of the vapor phase. The difference in the viscosity of the mixtures affected the length of the vapor phase range. Mixtures with lower viscosity were more cavitated and more viscous less.
