Abstract

Secondary title: Analysis of Design Solutions for the Work-Top of the Asko Washing Machine
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis is related to the reconstruction of the upper cover of the Asko washing machine. During operation of the washing machine at higher revolutions, oscillations and increased vibrations occur on the cover. To reduce them, it is crucial that the first natural frequency exceeds the operating range of the washing machine, as this does not cause resonance. We performed a comparison of the displacements between the test covers and found that it makes the most sense to proceed with the covers with a modified shape. In the Siemens NX software environment, we modelled various designs of covers, for which we calculated the natural frequencies and the first natural shapes with numerical analyzes. Then, together with the product design department, we decided on the most suitable design in terms of dynamic properties, production, functionality, appearance, and economy.
