Abstract

Secondary title: Soccer as an extracurricular activity for younger primary school pupils
Secondary abstract: Physical activities are very important for a child's development, because in addition to functional and motor abilities, they also help him develop social, emotional and cognitive features. In addition to physical education classes, pupils often decide to participate in various extracurricular activities, which help to develop and discover pupils' interests and are intended for relaxation. A very common and popular extra-curricular activity is certainly soccer, which is considered a very widespread game and thus represents satisfaction and joy to many individuals. The purpose of the master's thesis is to present the theoretical starting point and then prepare a year-round training program and finally implement and evaluate three hours of soccer as an extracurricular activity in primary school. For this purpose, we prepared an annual training program for the extracurricular activity soccer (35 training units). For each training unit, the goals and props are precisely defined, the preparatory part with the introductory game and gymnastic exercises, and the main and final part are written in detail. 22 pupils of the fifth grade who represented an independent and non-probability sample were included in the program. Descriptive and causal non-experimental methods of practical pedagogical research (observation) were used in the research. Qualitative methodology methods were also used. We were surprised by the results, as we expected that more boys and girls would say that they liked the training units very much. We also expected that more pupils would attend an interesting football activity if it were to be organized. The reasons for such a result can be mainly found in a small sample, which cannot be generalized to the entire population.
