Abstract

Hkrati zahtevajo majhno količino reagentov in vzorca.

Secondary title: Determination of volatile compounds in miniaturized and flow systems
Secondary abstract: Miniaturized and flow systems, including lab-on-a-chip and micro paper-based analytical device, are mainly used in diagnostics, environmental monitoring and food control. One of their advantages, in contrast to conventional analytical techniques, is their small size. It enables on-site analysis, simple transportation and storage. Other advantages are also their low reagent and sample consumption, less complex analysis, relatively low cost and simple fabrication. In analytical chemistry microfluidic devices enable determination of some volatile compounds. The quantification is based on specific reaction of analyte in the sample solution or less specific reaction of previously separated analyte from the matrix. In my undergraduate thesis I focused on some specific examples of determination of ammonia, cyanide, formaldehyde and ethanol. I also described and compared these examples.
