Secondary abstract: | The work involves the production of a voxel based graphics renderer with an emphasis on personalized ray tracing algorithms. Ray tracing is used because of its more convincing rendering results. The purpose is to find the boundaries and examine the techniques of ray tracing renderer development on graphics processing units for real-time applications. Due to expensive object intersection operations for triangle based representations, the renderer uses voxel objects. Using the voxel objects, we achieve above sixty frames per second at a small number of models. |
