Abstract

Tema magistrskega dela je urbanizacija mariborskega predela Studenci in izdelava projekta za Center uprizoritvenih umetnosti kot katalizatorja tega mestnega območja. Na podlagi raziskav Studencev skozi zgodovino, kjer je razvidno, da je bilo skozi čas to območje generična točka razvoja Maribora, je bila zastavljena idejna urbanistična rešitev. V centralnem delu območja je bil pred leti načrtovan objekt Mariborsko kulturno središče MAKS, vendar do same izvedbe nikoli ni prišlo. Zaključna idejna urbanistična zasnova zajema nove poslovno-stanovanjske objekte, zaradi odprtega razgleda na reko Dravo in staro mestno jedro ter sončne lege orientirane sever-jug, in poslovne objekte ob Valvasorjevi ulici. Zaključna idejna arhitekturna zasnova zajema oživitev nezgrajenega objekta Mariborsko kulturno središče, ki bo s svojo arhitekturo dominiral v prostoru in na ta način postal katalizator območja.

Secondary abstract:	The topic of the master's thesis is the urbanization of the Maribor area Studenci and the preparation of a project for the Center for the Performing Arts serving as a catalyst for this urban area. Based on research into the history of Studenci, it is evident that over time this area represented a generic point of the development of Maribor, so a conceptual urban solution was set. Years ago, the constructin of Maribor Cultural Center MAKS was planned in the central part of the area, but the plan was never carried out. The final conceptual urban design includes new business and residental buildings, due to the open view of the Drava River and the old town as well as its sunny position and north-south orientation, together with business along Valvasorjeva Street. The final conceptual architectural design includes the revival of the Maribor Cultural Center, which is yet to be constructed and which will architecturally dominate the space, making it a catalyst for the area.
