Abstract

Z razvojem tehnologije je v vzponu tudi razvoj semaforskih naprav. V ospredje vedno bolj prihajajo pametne semaforske naprave, ki delovanje prilagajajo glede na trenutno prometno situacijo. Vedno več razvoja se posveča razvoju naprav, ki bi omogočale čim večjo pretočnost prometa. Kljub vsem uporabljenim tehnologijam pa popolne pretočnosti ne moremo doseči zaradi velikega povečanja števila avtomobilov, predvsem v mestih. V diplomskem delu smo opisali delovanje semaforske naprave in vgrajeno strojno opremo. Predstavili smo semaforske naprave, detektorje, ki sodelujejo pri prometno odvisnih križiščih, in nadzorni sistem v prometnem nadzornem centru. V nadaljevanju smo razložili osnovne izračune za zagotavljanje pravilnega prometnega programa in predstavili programski jezik za programiranje semaforske naprave.

Secondary abstract: The development of technology has consequently affected the advancement of traffic lights. Smart traffic lights are gaining more and more importance since they adapt their operations according to the current traffic situation. Much effort has also been devoted to the development of devices that would enable the greatest possible traffic flow. However, despite all the technologies used, optimal traffic flow cannot be achieved due to the abundancy of cars, especially in cities. The Diploma Thesis first describes traffic lights’ operations and installed hardware. We present traffic light devices, detectors used in traffic-dependent intersections and control system for traffic control centres. Later on, we explain the basic calculations for ensuring the correct traffic program and present the appropriate programming language for traffic light devices.
