Abstract

Z omenjenim programom smo morali izdelali tri mreže različnih gostot (redka, srednja in gosta) in izbrati pravo mrežo.

Secondary title: The influence of biofuel on the flow conditions in diesel engine injectors
Secondary abstract: The purpose of this master's thesis is to determine the influence of the addition of biodiesel and bioethanol to diesel fuel on the fuel flow conditions inside a diesel engine injector nozzle. The working method used, was a numerical fuel injection simulation, carried out using the AVL FIRE software package. With the mentioned program we had to make three networks of different densities (rare, medium and dense) and choose the right network. For further analysis, we chose the medium network, due to the shorter simulation calculation time. The simulations were performed on one engine operating regime (one injection pressure), two different pressures in the engine combustion chamber and at the same needle lifting course for all fuels tested. From the results of the simulations, that best showed the evolution of the vapor phase at the injection hole and at the outlet of the injection hole, it can be concluded that the differences are noticeable but minimal, on the basis of which we can conclude that the biofuels are suitable for use in existing diesel engines.
