Abstract

Secondary title: Fluid bed laboratory device and process design
Secondary abstract: A fluid bed, used in some of the most important industries, seems to be a relatively simple phenomenon. However, it is anything but that. The construction of a device using a fluid bed is very complex and requires plenty of knowledge and adjustment. The first part of my master’s thesis consists of a short theoretical introduction of the fluid bed. The second part shows the design and construction of a device using the fluid bed. The final part includes measurement results taken on the device and their comparison to the analytical calculation. It proves that with a thorough processing and interpretation of the results the measurements match the analytical calculation.
