Abstract

Njen razvoj spremljamo že od prazgodovine, ko so ljudje z lastnimi rokami ustvarjali ročne sekire, in vse do danes, ko naš svet že upravljajo roboti.

Secondary title: Innovative policing using modern technologies
Secondary abstract: Society has been changing since its inception and in some kind of way it is trapped in a time machine of social change. We can say with certainty that technological innovations have shaken the society to its foundations and drastically affected the course of its development. There is nothing different with policing as one of the fundamental social institutions. We know a huge range of police innovations, from the end of the twentieth century onwards, that have influenced and continue to influence the performance of police work. The development and advancement of technologies offered a whole new world that seemed unimaginable for several years. Some technological innovations, such as the use of artificial intelligence, have taken policing to a whole new level. Police innovations can be seen as a response to the challenges that policing has been faced. It is logical that policing must follow the trends of society, take into account and identify the factors that affect it, to assert its fundamental tasks. The ways to achieve this are different. From innovations that focus on community, to advanced technologies which facilitate many parts of policing. The range of technologies available to the police is huge today. The aims, of policing technologies, are to facilitate the performance of policing and increase their impact on reducing and preventing crime. For achieving efficiency and effectiveness police innovations and technologies complement each other. The future of technology is eternal. We have been following its development since prehistoric times, when people were creating hand axes with their own hands, and until today, when our world is already controlled by robots.
