Abstract

Namen zaključnega dela je bil ugotoviti, kakšno znanje, odnos in navade imajo ženske o samopregledovanju dojk. Pri izdelavi zaključnega dela smo uporabili sistematičen pregled znanstvene in strokovne literature. Članke, ki smo jih uporabili v zaključnem delu, smo pridobili v podatkovnih bazah CINAHL, PubMed, ScienceDirect in Web of Sciences. Članke smo kritično ocenili po Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) kontrolnih seznamih. Za analizo in sintezo podatkov smo uporabili tematsko analizo.

Secondary title: Knowledge, attitude and habits of women towards breast self- examination
Secondary abstract: Breast cancer is a major health problem worldwide as it is one of the leading causes of death in postmenopausal women in all malignancies. For the early detection of breast cancer, it is important to perform breast self-examination after the age of 20 regularly. The purpose of the final work was to find out what knowledge, attitude and habits women have about breast self-examination. In preparing the final work, we used a systematic review of scientific and professional literature. The articles we used in the concluding part were obtained from the CINAHL, PubMed, ScienceDirect and Web of Sciences databases. Articles were critically evaluated according to the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) checklists. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis and synthesis. Of the 1.532 records obtained, we included nine articles, in the final analysis, depending on the suitability. The main results of the analysis showed that most women do not perform breast self-examination enough. The reason for this is poor knowledge about it, due to insufficient information and negative attitude of women towards breast self-examination. Breast self-examination is an important method for early detection of breast cancer, so it is essential to talk more about the technique. This would help to improve women's knowledge and attitude towards it.
