Abstract

Magistrsko delo obravnava modeliranje klasičnih in krožnih križišč s pristopom BIM (angl. Building Information Modeling).

Secondary title: Design of classical and circular crossroads and road take-offs using BIM
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis presents the modeling of classic and circular crossroads with the BIM (building information modeling) approach. The practical work was carried out in Infraworks, Civil 3D, OpenRoads ConceptStaton, OpenRoads Designer and Plateia, in the case of a road reconstruction project in Godovič. The master's thesis has two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical foundations of BIM and its standardization layed out, which have a pivotal major role in the adoption and development of BIM in the field of infrastructure. The focus is on the ISO 19650 series of international standards for the information management throughout the life cycle of a building and the IFC standard, which allows users to easily use data across different BIM platforms. The theoretical part also covers general principles of the design of road infrastructure, intersections and roundabouts. In the practical part, a technical description of the case study is given, followed by the practical use of the software. For each selected design authoring software, the processes of modeling intersections, roundabouts and traffic equipment, and the process of determining metadata, are described. In addition, the processes of making terrain, axes, longitudinal profiles, superelevation and cross sections are also described. In the concluding part of the master's thesis, a comparison of software tools is made with synthesis, analysis and conclusions.
