Abstract

Skrb za telesno in duševno zdravje ljudi v zadnjih letih postaja vse pomembnejša.

Secondary title: The effect of psychophysical activity on symptoms of stress, depression and anxiety on teachers
Secondary abstract: Physical and mental health care is becoming increasingly important in recent years. Individuals strive to achieve the best possible psychophysical condition. Research nevertheless shows that a large number of people suffer from stress, depression and anxiety. People fight mental distress in various ways; some engage in physical activity, some opt for mindfulness, and some find other methods that help them fight distress more or less successfully. The purpose of the master's research was to carry out a survey, which included 134 preschool teachers, class and subject teachers, and secondary school teachers, to investigate how physically active teachers are, if they practice mindfulness techniques, how often they express symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress, and whether psychophysical activity affects the expression of the symptoms. By means of quantitative data processing, we found teachers to be very active physically, however, they mostly do not practice mindfulness. Based on the results obtained with the standardized DASS-21 scale (The Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale), their mental health is good, and the influence of psychophysical activity on the expression of symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress is not statistically significant.
