Abstract

V metodološkem pogledu naloga sledi pristopu celostne interpretacije in praksi natančnega branja besedil v intertekstualnih razmerjih.

Secondary title: The biblical motifs and ethics in the eorks of Dragotin Kette, Oton Župančič and Fran Saleški Finžgar
Secondary abstract: The thesis deals with some aspects of the influence of the Bible on Slovene literature on the examples of literary works by Dragotin Kette, Oton Župančič and Fran Saleški Finžgar. These three writers included biblical motifs and biblical ethics in their work, which stemmed from a personal experience of striving for a fundamental relationship with the superfluous and God, for the meaning of life, for overcoming the threat of good with the forces of evil, for social solidarity and critique of social conditions. personal cleansing following the example of innocent children. Dragotin Kette used biblical motifs in the cycle Moj Bog, in which he sought perfection through them in harmony with the transcendent, and found it in the religiosity of an innocent child. In Oton Župančič, most of the biblical motifs are concentrated in the cycle Samogovori, in which the poet expresses his emotions with them and describes his search for a deeper meaning in life, especially the closeness to God. Most of these motifs are from the book of Revelation, as the poet is divided in his soul between good and evil. Fran Saleški Finžgar wanted to show the religiosity of his characters with biblical motifs, and above all he emphasized moral teachings with them. Most of the biblical motifs can be found in the cycle Razodetja, with which he wants to show mainly the moral values of the characters in individual stories. Biblical ethics in Kette is found mainly in the cycle Moj Bog and in his works for children, in Oton Župančič it is found in the cycle Samogovori, and in children's songs, and biblical ethics is an integral part of Finžgar's oeuvre. The writer wants to bring readers closer to the values of his time. As the paper notes, all three authors focus in different works on basic Christian moral values such as God's and man's love, diligence, active religiosity, mercy, hospitality, reverence and others. The degree and manner of integration of selected biblical themes into new literary reproductions are different, certainly more original in Kette and Župančič than in Finžgar. Finžgar was a theologian and a priest by profession, so he automatically derives from the basic teaching of the Bible and sometimes integrates it into his works as a Christian doctrine. From a methodological point of view, the task follows the approach of holistic interpretation and the practice of careful reading of texts in intertextual relations.
