Abstract

Na koncu smo občutljivost detekcije nevtronov razširili s paralelno vezavo dveh in štirih detektorjev.

Secondary title: Measurement of Fast and Thermal Neutrons with Silicon Carbide Semiconductor Detectors
Secondary abstract: As a part of my thesis, we experimented with the detection of fast and thermal neutron radiation using semiconductor detectors made of silicon carbide. Initially, we assembled a measuring circuit for the detection of charged particles and tested it with an alpha particle emitter, $^{241}$Am. This was followed by the use of $^6$LiF and $^{10}$B$_4$C neutron converters, with which we measured the spectrum of charged particles resulting from interaction of fast and thermal neutrons. In the end, we expanded the sensitivity of neutron detection by connecting the circuit with two and four detectors in parallel.
