diplomsko delo
Abstract

Developing toddlers' skills in a daily routine by encouraging algorithmic thinking |
Secondary abstract: |
Implementing a daily routine during the child's early age includes all areas of development and at the same time offers an opportunity to learn the basic skills of independence. The daily routine represents time for learning and it gives children a sense of security and community. Learning the basic skills of independence can also be done by encouraging algorithmic thinking, which is one of the most important competencies that can be used to solve the problems of everyday life. The development of algorithmic thinking skills encourages the development of other skills, such as creativity, logical thinking, decision-making, etc., so it is important to develop algorithmic thinking skills from an early age. In the practical empirical part, we designed exercises and activities for the development of group independence in children age 1 to 2 years (n = 14). With have analyzed the differences in the achieved skills regarding washing hands and putting on and taking off slippers with assessment scale. Exercises that included systematic learning for each of the selected skills were conducted for 10 days. The results showed statistically significant differences in the ability to wash hands, put on, and take off slippers before and after the exercises. The results of the task are important for the promotion of algorithmic thinking in young children as they offer a reflection on how the educator could use similar strategies in their work in other areas as well. |
