Abstract

Literaturo smo iskali s ključnimi besedami: dentalna keramika, keramični materiali, cirkonijeva oksidna keramika, cirkonijev oksid, CAD/CAM.

Secondary title: Influence of sintering conditions on microstructure and quality of dental zirconium
Secondary abstract: Introduction: The development of bioceramics has made it possible to increase the use of ceramic materials in dentistry. Besides appropriate mechanical properties that have made it possible to use ceramics in all areas of the teeth, ceramic materials have excellent optical properties which come very close to the appearance of the tooth. Zirconium oxide ceramic, which is processed with CAD / CAM technologies and is a biocompatible material, is most commonly used for such purposes. Purpose: In this diploma work, we research the influence of sintering conditions on the development of the microstructure of examinees from zirconium oxide dental ceramics. We also determine the influence of the microstructure, formed during sintering, on mechanical and technological properties. The aim of the research is to determine, how different preparation of restaurants before sintering affects the mechanical properties of the material and its behavior. Methods: The theoretical part of the diploma work is based on a review of technical articles and other technical literature of domestic and foreign authors, who we found in databases on the Internet. We searched the literature with the key words: dental ceramics, ceramic materials, zirconium oxide ceramics, zirconium oxide, CAD / CAM. Results: The preparation of examinees and the implementation of the practical part of the diploma was executed in a dental laboratory. The execution of tests and analysis of samples was made at the Institute of Materials Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Maribor. Discussion and conclusion: The sintering process affects the growth of crystal grains and consequently the firmness of zirconium oxide. The longer the sintering process, the more grains grow and with that, the firmness of the material is lower. On the other hand, the growth of grains in the material reduces the porous parts, which has a beneficial effect on the material.
