diplomsko delo

Abstract

Secondary title: Development of an application for learning body language
Secondary abstract: In our diploma thesis we developed an application, with which users will be able to learn how to read body language. Many books have been written on the subject, but this is not something one can learn in a short period of time from written words and static images. The first part of the program shows gestures on animated 3D characters. It points the user to take a good look at the character as a whole and click on the parts of the body that stand out. By doing this they will be given accurate feedback on the meaning of the gestures. In the second part, the user gets more theory. It describes what the examples show as a whole and what are the most important things to remember to avoid making mistakes. We sent the program to users who tested it and then completed a survey on its quality. Their answers showed that the text describing the theory must be explained in the simplest and most comprehensible way possible. We also found that the unnatural animation of the faces stands out uncomfortably.
