Abstract

Zapoznela mišična bolečina opisuje bolečino, ki se pojavi kot posledica mišične poškodbe zaradi telesne vadbe ali povečane obremenitve mišic. Najpogostejši simptomi so občutljivost, okorelost, bolečina, oteklina in šibkost prizadetih mišic. Eden izmed terapevtskih postopkov za zmanjševanje negativnih učinkov tega pojava je nameščanje elastičnih lepilnih trakov. Namen pregleda literature je bil ugotoviti učinke elastičnih ali kinezio lepilnih trakov na simptome in znake zapoznele mišične bolečine. Metode: Iskanje literature je potekalo s pregledom podatkovnih zbirk PubMed, PEDro in CINAHL, vključili smo randomizirane nadzorovane poskuse, nadzorovane klinične poskuse in nadzorovane kohortne raziskave v angleškem jeziku. Rezultati: Vključitvenim merilom je ustrezalo pet raziskav, objavljenih med letoma 2016 in 2020. V vseh raziskavah so ugotavljali učinke elastičnih lepilnih trakov na mišično bolečino in mišično zmogljivost pri zdravih odraslih. Zaključki: Izsledki kažejo, da je uporaba elastičnih lepilnih trakov učinkovita za zmanjšanje zaznavanja jakosti mišične bolečine, vendar ne pripomore k hitrejšemu okrevanju mišične zmogljivosti. Neustrezno nameščanje elastičnih lepilnih trakov lahko celo podaljša trajanje simptomov. Glede na izsledke raziskav naj bodo za optimalen učinek trakovi nameščeni pred ali takoj po vadbi in nameščeni vsaj 24 ur.

Secondary title: Effects of elastic taping on delayed onset muscle soreness
Secondary abstract: Delayed onset muscle soreness is defined as a type of muscle injury resulting from exercise or increased muscle activity. Its symptoms are muscle tenderness, stiffness, soreness and weakness of the affected muscle. One of the popular therapeutic modalities used for alleviating the symptoms of this phenomenon is elastic taping. The purpose of this literature review was to establish effects of elastic or kinesio taping on symptoms and signs of delayed onset muscle soreness. Methods: PubMed, PEDro and CINAHL databases were searched. The search was limited to scientific reports of randomized controlled trials, controlled clinical trials and controlled cohort studies. Results: Five studies published between 2016 and 2020 met the inclusion criteria. All studies investigated the effects of elastic taping on muscle soreness and muscle performance in healthy adults. Conclusions: The findings show that taping can help reduce muscle soreness after intense exercise, however, it has no effect on recovery of muscle performance. Improper application of elastic tapes can even prolong the symptoms. For optimal treatment effect, it is recommended to apply the tape before or immediately after exercise for at least 24 hours.
