Abstract

Z diplomskim delom smo analizirali stopnjo razvitosti notranjega komuniciranja v podjetju Polycom Škofja Loka d.o.o. V največji meri so zadovoljni z dostopom do informacij o trgu, o možnostih osebnega razvoja, visoko stopnjo zadovoljstva pripisujejo tudi prejetim informacijam o produktih.

Secondary title: INTERNAL COMMUNICATION IN THE COMPANY POLYCOM ŠKOFJA LOKA D.O.O.
Secondary abstract: With our diploma thesis we analysed the level of development of internal communication in the company Polycom Škofja Loka d.o.o. On the basis of a questionnaire we investigated how much are employees interested in a specific content of communication, how satisfied are they with information received and what type of communication prevails among the employees or between employees and the company management. In addition to the above, we also defined from whom the employees first learn specific content information, and how frequently are used certain communication channels through which employees receive information about what is happening in the company. By analysing the positions of employees who have acceded to the survey, we found that employees in the company Polycom Škofja Loka d.o.o. are showing the highest interest to the content that is of direct concern to them, more than to subjects distant to them, namely the highest level of interest in expressed to the feedback on their own work, employment protection, and information on working conditions. To the greatest extent are employees satisfied with the access to market information, on the opportunities for personal development, while attributing high levels of satisfaction also to received information on products. Among 37 of interviewed 15 of them (40,54%) found that communication in the company mainly takes place in a horizontal line, with close colleagues, what is not surprising at all, since they are in the closest relations with each other and share their fate on the same working environment. Resources, which firstly bring employees items of information, are the following: direct manager in person, colleagues and rumours. In addition, we also learned that among a set of different channels the company relies mainly on one-way communication channels, where there is no possibility of direct interaction, while it is also more difficult to obtain feedback through these written tools. On a daily basis is the use of electronic mail prevailing among electronic communication tools, and an important resource for employees also represents rumours. Opportunities, where employees learn more about what is happening in the company, are also organized meetings, limited to a small group meetings, or periodically guided meetings, which are including more participants, where there is room for wider discussion. We warned the management of the company that is not to ignore the rumours and suggested to take them into account, as well as to use the dialogue for continuous checking and consent of employees with strategic objectives of the company.
