Abstract

Izvedli smo obsežno raziskavo kemijskih profilov 15-ih sort navadne konoplje (Cannabis sativa L.) gojenih v Sloveniji leta 2017 in leta 2018. Za analize smo uporabili predhodno validirano HPLC metodo. Primerjali smo vsebnosti kanabinoidov v različnih delih socvetij, in sicer v braktejah celih socvetij v primerjavi s preostanki celih socvetij brez braktej, v braktejah zgornjega in spodnjega dela socvetij ter v braktejah celih socvetij v primerjavi z vsebnostjo v celih socvetjih. Najvišjo vsebnost celokupnega CBD v braktejah celih socvetij so imele sorte Antal, Carmagnola in Monoica.

Secondary title: Cannabinoid content in inflorescences of selected hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) varieties, grown in Slovenia
Secondary abstract: We performed an extensive study of the chemical profiles of 15 varieties of cannabis (Cannabis sativa L.) grown in Slovenia in years 2017 and 2018. We used a previously validated HPLC method. We compared the cannabinoid contents in different parts of the inflorescence, namely in the bracts of the whole inflorescence compared to the rest of the whole inflorescences without bracts, in the bracts of the upper and lower inflorescences and in the bracts of whole inflorescences compared to whole inflorescences. Statistical analysis showed that the variability in cannabinoid content between cannabis varieties was statistically significant. Antal, Carmagnola and Monoica had the highest content of total CBD in the bracts. The highest total content of Δ9-THC in the bracts was observed in the cultivars Tiborszallasi, Carmagnola and Tisza. The content of total CBG in the bracts was highest in the Santhica 27. We found that there were no statistically significant differences in the concentration of cannabinoids between the bracts of the lower and upper inflorescences. The total concentrations of cannabinoids in the bracts of inflorescences were at least twice as high as in other parts of the inflorescence and whole inflorescences. The content of cannabinoids in the bracts of each variety varied between the two years of production, which was influenced not only by the season but also by the different location of production. The content of total Δ9-THC in bracts in 2017 was below 0.2% in varieties Helena, Ferimon, Kompolti hybrid TC, Finola, Fedora 17, USO 31 and Santhica 27. Response to growing conditions in Slovenia was good for varieties Fedora 17, Finola, Novosadska and USO 31, as in these varieties the content of total CBD in whole inflorescences in 2018 was comparable to the declared values. Based on the calculated ratio of total Δ9-THC / CBD contents in the three analyzed plants per variety in 2017, we showed chemotype uniformity within most varieties, except for Tisza, KC Dora, Tiborszallasi and Carmagnola.
