Abstract

Secondary title: ǂThe ǂwork effectivness evaluation of permanent sampling plots remeasurements in the Poljane forest management unit
Secondary abstract: The thesis shows the work effectiveness evaluation of permanent sampling plots remeasurements. In the Poljane forest management unit, a pattern area was chosen where measurements have been accomplished on fifty (50) sampling plots. Maps, recording leaflets and a GPS device were prepared for field work in the forest. The evidence of all possible changes and mistakes was collected, and GPS technology was used to assess the accuracy of sampling plotcentres established in 1997. Most deviations between the measured values and the real values of sampling plot centre coordinates were less than 15 metres. Time used for measurements was monitored and then analysed in the tables of EXCEL programme tool. Time used for remeasurement a plot increased with stand dinsity. The use of GPS technology made the search for sampling plots easier and faster, in order to establish the centres, data of tree polarcoordinates, tree species and their diameters were needed. Measuring on the sampling was simular as the first time.
