Abstract

Secondary abstract: Stammering is a communication disorder associated with many psychological and social distresses. It puts the child in new and stressful situations, especially in communication, and many are perceived as ineffective speakers, so they become socially distant. Parents can perceive the impact of stuttering in terms of behaviour, where children struggle with emotional instability, confusion, anxiety, despair and frustration, all of which affect their quality of life in childhood and later in adulthood. The aim of the final part is to investigate the quality of life of children who stutter.
