Secondary abstract: | In collaboration with Domel d. o. o. company we want to check viscoelastic effects of polyphenylene sulfide on rotor housing of electromotor. Housing is subjected to angular velocity of 650 rad/s and temperature of 90 °C. In time period of 30 000 h the housing must not exceed radial displacement of 0,6 mm. We start with experimental determination of creep compliance for chosen polymer. We obtain master curve from the series of short experiments with the help of time-temperature superposition and CFS algorithm. From the master curve we determine parameters of Prony series for behaviour of viscoelastic material. With finite element method we first run a test simulation with same boundary conditions as in creep compliance experiment in order to validate material parameters. At the end we establish functional numerical model of rotor with boundary conditions same as operating ones. Thus we simulate behaviour of rotor in time period of 30 000 h. We reach finding that radial displacement on housing does not exceed the admissible value. |
