globalizacija turizma in krepitev vloge prostorov potrošnje
Abstract
Nova transportna sredstva so posamezniku omogočila ne le lažje fizično premagovanje prostorskih ovir, temveč je proces povečevanja zmožnosti premikanja telesa po prostoru sprožilo tudi specifične družbeno-kulturne "protiprocese" nadzorovanja telesnega delovanja. V besedilu skušamo, prek primerov globalizacije turizma in regulacije teles v nekaterih urbanih območjih (mestna središča, nakupovalni centri), prikazati dvosmerno naravo procesov globalizacije.

New transport means enabled individual to surmount spatial barriers physically and at the same time the process of increasing possibility for moving the body through the space created specific social-cultural 'anti-processes' of controlling the body functioning. The article attempts to show the two-way nature of globalisation processes on the examples of globalisation of tourism and regulation of bodies in some urban areas (city centres, shopping centres). The author uses in this case study the concept of sens escapes, which explains the relations between individual's body and functioning in the space. According to the author's findings, the body is increasingly becoming important resource when individual strives to escape the everyday life routine, however at the same time it is under the pressure due to the attempts of controlling or directing perception. |
