| Secondary abstract: | The author explores how youth's magazines reproduce traditional sexual messages. In exemplary semiological analysis of a photo-romance, published in youth's magazine Bravo, she found that it offers traditional socialization messages regarding masculinity and femininity. A 'true' photo-romance represents a feminine character in a visually and verbally non-harmonized fashion. Verbal signs connote this character as self-confident, while body language offers quite opposite impression. |
