Abstract

V diplomskem delu smo predstavili pomen zgodnjega poučevanja bolnikov pred pričetkom nadomestnega zdravljenja končne ledvične odpovedi. Predstavili smo načrt in vsebino programa učenja oz. preddializno edukacijo bolnikov. Predstavljene so vse tri metode nadomestnega zdravljenja končne ledvične odpovedi in sicer hemodializa, peritonealna dializa in transplantacija.

Secondary title: Teaching patients with chronic kidney disease before substitutive health treatment
Secondary abstract: This graduation thesis presents the importance of early teaching the patients with end-stage renal failure before they start renal replacement therapy. It presents the programe and contents of teaching and learning predialysis patients education. It is important that the patient gets the right is information about the disease and alternative treatment options. Three treatment options of final renal failure are presented: hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and transplantation. It presents a psychological impact on patients with end-stage renal disease and the importance of including psyhologists in the program of predialysis patient education. The purpose of this graduation thesis is to present the results of the survey. The survey was conducted throgh a questionnaire on patients who began dialysis treatment in 2008. In this survey we detected that only 2/3 patients was involved in the programe of predialysis patient education. This will require redical changes in the design and management of the programe of predialysis patient education. Patients do not get enought information about their disease, the methods of alternative treatment options, which ultimately affects patients active involvment in the healing process.
