Abstract

V diplomskem delu je opisan postopek izdelave mobilne aplikacije za notranjo navigacijo v zgradbi UM FERI z uporabo tamkajšnjega omrežja Wi-Fi. Namen aplikacije je posredovanje informacij o lokaciji njenih uporabnikov, ter o poti do želenih prostorov. Aplikacija je zasnovana za študente in obiskovalce FERI. V jedru smo opis dela podali na način, da bi bilo napisano lahko tudi v pomoč razvijalcem podobnih aplikacij pri uporabi v drugih zgradbah. V sklepnem delu smo ocenili natančnost delovanja izdelane aplikacije. Uporabnika smo znotraj FERI locirali s povprečno natančnostjo devetih metrov, pri čemer smo dokazali, da je natančnost lociranja odvisna tudi od mobilne naprave, ki jo uporabljamo.

Secondary title: Development of indoor navigation application using wifi
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis contains the description of development of a mobile application for indoor navigation inside the UM FERI building, using its integrated Wi-Fi network. The purpose of the application is to display information about the location of its users and the description of the path to a desired location. The application is designed for students and visitors of FERI. The steps of development of the application are described in such a way, to help designers when creating similar apps for other buildings. In the final chapter, we investigate the applications accuracy. We achieved the user positioning accuracy of nine meters and demonstrated, that the positioning accuracy depends on the mobile device we are using.
