Abstract
Rezultati raziskave.

The most common nursing diagnosis in risk pregnancy |
Secondary abstract: |
Every pregnancy is unique and rarely passes without any difficulties. It is very important that a woman is well prepared for pregnancy, both physically and mentally. Recognising different symptoms of pregnancy is important for a woman, as they can help her understand her body and adapt to the many difficulties of this period. Although pregnancy is not an illness, but a normal physiological process, it does bring about a certain amount of risks. Risks for the mother and child can mostly be reduced if the warning signs of serious complications are recognised and treated early.
Method: The thesis is based on a case study of a pregnant woman. For acquiring the necessary information, a semi-structured questionnaire was used, comprising 11 sets of questions. The framework for the interview was derived from Marjory Gordon’s Manual of Nursing Diagnosis, designed for assessing patients’ needs – nursing anamnesis – based on functional health patterns. By observing the work of nurses, reviewing medical and nursing records of a pregnant woman and an interview with the pregnant woman, her nursing diagnosis was determined and the results were presented using the descriptive method.
Results: The research has shown that using Marjory Gordon’s functional pattern model was appropriate for assessing the nursing needs of the pregnant woman.
Conclusion: The role of a nurse in the pregnancy period is focused on informing, advising and most of all on careful observation of a pregnant woman’s behaviour. Only appropriate and healthy behaviour during pregnancy can contribute to disease prevention and successful treatment. A nurse should approach pregnant women individually and consider all physiological, psychological and social needs of a woman and her partner, as this is the only way to provide quality nursing to a pregnant woman. |
