Abstract

S pomočjo deskriptivne metode dela in študija različne literature smo predstavili pomen čustvene inteligentnosti, vodenja in predvsem povezavo obeh pojmov v zdravstveni negi.

Secondary title: The importance of emotional intelligence in nursing leadership
Secondary abstract: The dissertation with the title The importance of emotional intelligence in the leadership of nursing is a theoretical type of work. By using descriptive methods of work and reading various literature the importance of emotional intelligence, leadership and in particular the linkage of the two concepts in nursing were outlined, and how emotional intelligence is now increasingly in the forefront, as well as more and more in the center of interest. Emotions in the past were marked as something which is not important for work, but those days are gone. Numerous domestic and foreign literature was reviewed, sources were drawn from articles, and several collections of scientific papers and internet resources, which were afterwards critically analysed. As health care is a professional discipline, which is based especially on the professional relationship between patient and nurse, the emotional component is very important, but always receives too little attention and is always underestimated. As professionals, we must give ourselves away as the patients expect this from us and are entitled to it that we are kind and tolerant towards them and towards ourselves, accept them just as they are, take care of them, and have a soothing influence on them. Emotional intelligence is also important in the communication with co-workers in the nursing and health care team as well as with supervisors and other employees.
