Abstract

Začetki civilnega letalstva segajo v leto 1929. Prva komercialna linija je bila čezatlantska proga, ki jo je uvedel grof Zeppelin. Progo so ukinili leta 1937, ko je prišlo do nesreče cepelina Hindenburg. Šele razvoj reaktivnih letal po drugi svetovni vojni je omogočil hiter prevoz potnikov in razmah komercialnega letalstva. Po vojni je sledilo obdobje miru in gospodarskega razvoja. Prav tako je sledilo obdobje razcveta letalstva. Število letal, letalskih prevoznikov in letalskih prog je eksponentno naraščalo. Zaradi vse večjega števila subjektov, vključenih v zračne operacije, se je pokazala potreba po večji urejenosti le-teh. Nastale so različne organizacije in agencije, ki so poskušale organizirati in sistemizirati zračni promet, in v obdobju zadnjih 50 let se je varnost v zračnem prostoru izboljšala. Danes, ko se frekvenca zračnega prometa meri v milijonih opravljenih kilometrov, je fascinanten podatek ta, da se je število letalskih nesreč znižalo. Strogi predpisi na področju letalstva, ki so se nenehno prilagajali in posodabljali glede na svetovne razmere, so privedli do tega, da velja letalski promet za najvarnejšo obliko transporta ljudi in tovora.

Secondary abstract: The beginning of civil aviation dates back to year 1929. The first commercial line was transatlantic service, introduced by Count Zeppelin. The line was abolished in 1937, due to the accident that occurred on airship Hindenburg. It was not until the development of jet aircraft after World War II that enabled the rapid expansion of passenger and commercial aviation. After the war, a period of peace and economic development caused a period of prosperity in aviation. The number of aircraft carriers and routes since then is increasing exponentially. Due to the increasing number of entities involved in air operations, the need for greater regulation of air space occurred. These lines the beginning of various organizations and agencies whose attempt was to organize and systematize air transportation. Their establishment caused that in the last 50 years the safety in air space improved. Today, when the frequency of air traffic is measured in millions of kilometers, the fascinating fact remains that the number of aviation accidents declined. Strict rules in aviation, which are constantly updated and adapted according to the global situation, have led to the fact that air travel today is the safest form of transportation for both people and cargo.
