Abstract

Secondary title: composition and geometry of dust particles in dental laboratories
Secondary abstract: During the work of dental tehnicians in dental laboratories, dust particles are formed, wich in most cases have a negative effect on the health of the exposed. Their impact depends on the concentraction, composition, geometry of dust particles and the duration of exposure. The concentration, composition and geometry of dust particles primarily depend on the material and manufacturing process. A detailed presentation and analysis of the current standards of the ISO 13322 group was performed, with special emphasis on the ISO 13322-1 standard. As part of the diploma work, we performed sampling (measurement of emissions) of dust particles in the process of making various dental protheses using a personal sampler. Experimental analysis oft he composition and geometry of the dust particles was performed in accordance with ISO 13322-1 using a field electron microscope on field emission Thermo Scientific Quattro S.
