magistrsko delo magistrskega študijskega programa II. stopnje Strojništvo
Abstract

We conducted the Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) method on eccentric presses to reduce setup times between tool changeovers. First, we analyzed the presses for two months and collected efficiency and utilization data such as working hours, breakdown hours, and setup hours. Based on the analysis, we arranged a SMED workshop on the production floor, analyzed tool changeover processes, and prepared a list of solutions to reduce the setup time. We assessed time reduction and calculated the investment amount to implement all solutions. Furthermore, we analyzed causes for breakdowns and other stoppages during operation. For those, we prepared a further list of measures to avoid or eliminate such problems in the future. |
