Abstract

Diplomsko delo predstavi novosti v sodobni stripovski industriji in manga ali japonski strip je na njenem čelu. V njem opišem zgodovinsko ozadje mange ter razložim, po čem se razlikuje od zahodne kulture in njenih stripovskih praks. V diplomskem delu tudi predstavim avtorsko delo, ki temelji na tradiciji japonskega stripa, ter ga analiziram in pojasnim novo tehnologijo, ki mi je omogočila njegovo izvedbo.

Secondary abstract:	The thesis presents innovations in the modern comics industry and Japanese comics or manga is at its forefront. In it, I present the historical background of the manga and how it differs from Western culture and its comic book practices. In my thesis I also present an author's work based on the tradition of Japanese comics, analyze it and present the new technology that enabled me to craft it.
