Abstract

V diplomskem delu je bolj podrobno opisan trgovinski sporazum med Evropsko Unijo in Kanado, ki ga s kratico poimenujemo CETA. Uvodoma je predstavljeno področje mednarodnega trgovanja, ki obsega poslovanje s trgovinskimi sporazumi med državami Evropske Unije in tretjimi državami. V delu smo obravnavali mednarodno trgovino in področja, ki so vključena v njeno poslovanje ter opredelili del mednarodne trgovine, ki se imenuje trgovinska politika. Ta uporablja različne mednarodne instrumente za bolj učinkovito poslovanje na mednarodnih trgih. Predstavljene so značilnosti trgovinskih sporazumov, ki so eden najpomembnejših dejavnikov za mednarodno poslovanje. Pri tem smo se osredotočili na sporazum CETA, ki vključuje boljše poslovne priložnosti s postopnim zmanjševanjem ovir in enakopravnim, predvidljivim in pošteno konkurenčnim sodelovanjem. CETA je eden najmočnejših sporazumov, ki pokriva različna področja, kot so carine, poreklo blaga, uvoz in izvoz, investicije, itd. Skozi delo smo raziskali pozitivne in negativne vplive, ki nastanejo kot posledica sporazuma CETA na države pogodbenice, med katerimi je tudi Slovenija. Ob koncu diplomskega dela smo raziskali, kako se obnese sporazum CETA v času pandemije Covid-19.

Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis provides a detailed presentation of the trade agreement between the European Union and Canada, also known as CETA. In the introduction, the thesis presents the field of international trade, which includes trade agreements between the countries of the European Union and third world countries. Furthermore, the thesis discusses the topic of international trade and the various areas included in its commerce. In addition, the thesis defines a part of the international trade known as trade policy, which uses different international instruments for an efficient commerce on the international markets. The diploma thesis presents various features of trade agreements, which are one of the most important factors regarding international commerce. The focus is on the trade agreement known as CETA, which includes better business opportunities by gradually reducing the limitations and promoting equal, predictable, and fair competitive cooperation. CETA is one of the most solid trade agreements, which covers different areas such as customs, origin of goods, import/export, investments etc. The thesis also researches positive and negative effects of CETA and its impact on the countries of the European Union, one of which is also Slovenia. The diploma thesis concludes with research on the efficiency of CETA during the Covid-19 pandemic.
