diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študija Varnost in policijsko delo
Abstract
Diplomsko delo govori o globalizaciji, globalni neenakosti in neoliberalizmu.
Poznamo več vrst globalizacij: kulturno, gospodarsko in politično.
Posledice globalizacije so pozitivne in negativne.
Posledice globalne neenakosti so revščina, brezdomstvo, brezposelnost, kriminaliteta, pismenost itd.

Secondary abstract: |
This diploma thesis is about globalization, global inequality and neoliberalism. Globalization is very comprehensive term. It is present worldwide, to it does not exist unified definition and its dimensions are becoming more visible. This is the process which form life on earth, dictate the movement of people, ideas, knowledge, money and goods across the national borders. Globalization brings changes in the political, economic, and social and cultural fields.
There are several types of globalization: cultural, economic and political. Culture has changed over time and eliminates barriers between cultures due to Information Communication Technologies and media. Economic globalization strives to establish a global market, through which circulate across national borders, capital, people and goods. Political globalization includes global agreements and arrangements and new forms of mobility and communication.
Globalization has evolved through the time in three waves. Each of them has brought something new and creates a deeper colonization of other cultures and life on earth.
Consequences of globalization are positive and negative. Considered as a positive development of society by improving their quality of life and brings a higher standard of living. The progress is shown in the economy and transport and communication. It also the consequences are positive but also negative. They include in particular ecological issues, such as the destruction of rain forests, air pollution and nuclear disasters and health issues.
Neoliberalism is a paradigm of our time. Proportional to a handful of people is allowed to control so much of social life, as far as possible and thus maximizes profits. Neoliberalism has so strongly rooted in the mentality that can influence the life, understanding the world and in our daily thinking.
Differences between rich and poor are increasing in the modern world; inequalities between different parts of the world and within countries are deepening. The consequences of global inequality are poverty, homelessness, unemployment, crime, literacy, etc. We know the distribution and the structural aspect of inequality. The distribution includes inequalities in the distribution of goods; structural refers to the fact that the groups who own different amounts of certain goods are connected with each other. |
