Abstract

Tehnološki mejniki se od začetka 20. stoletja nezadržno zvišujejo, zato so uporabniki tehnologij prisiljeni slediti temu hitremu napredku. Z razvojem tehnologij se sorazmerno povečujejo tudi tveganja in incidenti, ki so posledica uporabe le-te, zato uporabniki in razvijalci tehnoloških rešitev vse prevečkrat pozabljajo ali pa namenoma zapostavljajo varnostne rešitve, ki bi jim zagotavljale nemoteno in brezskrbno uporabo vseh razpoložljivih tehnologij. Velik razmah je v pričetku 21. stoletja doživela tehnološka panoga povezovanja neživih stvari v velika omrežja z namenom lajšanja dela, zagotavljanja varnosti ipd., ki so jo poimenovali internet stvari (angl. Internet of Things - IoT). Zaradi zgoraj omenjenega so se varnostna tveganja in varnostni incidenti pričeli večati in pri osveščenih uporabnikih tehnologij vzbujati nezaupanje, pri neosveščenih pa omogočati varnostne vrzeli in varnostne incidente, ki vodijo do nezmožnosti zagotavljanja informacijske varnosti. Varnostna tveganja in varnostni incidenti so se s predstavljanjem interneta stvari in povezovanja neživih stvari in družbe kot celote pričeli večati. S tem je omogočen vse večji dostop in poseganje v zasebno sfero prebivalstva nepooblaščenim osebam, ki bodo izkoristile vsakršno nepazljivost uporabnika in vse ranljivosti sistema za nepooblaščen dostop in pridobivanje informacij iz omrežij in naprav. Podjetje Gartner predvideva, da bo do leta 2020 v IoT povezanih preko 20 milijard naprav. Dobršen del teh naprav, ki same po sebi ne bodo vključene v krovno varnostno politiko ali jim arhitektura ne bo omogočala določene stopnje varnosti ali jih bodo uporabljali neizkušeni uporabniki, bo na svetovnem spletu na voljo nepooblaščenemu pristopu.

Secondary abstract: Technological milestones from the beginning of the 20th century are increasing. For decades, users of technologies are forced to follow this rapid progress. With the development of technologies, however, the risks and incidents that result from the use of technology are also relatively increasing, so users and developers of technological solutions are often forgetting or deliberately neglecting security solutions to ensure the smooth and carefree use of all available technologies. The big break in the beginning of the 21st century was, that the technology industry has experienced the integration of non-living things into large networks with intent to facilitate work, ensure security, etc. They named it The Internet of Things or IoT. As a result of the above, security risks and security incidents have begun to increase, and in the case of an aware user of technology arousing the lack of trust, and in the case of an unaware user allowing security gaps and security incidents leading to incapacity of providing information security. Security risks and security incidents have begun to increase with the contempt of the Internet of things and the integration of un-living things in society as a whole. This, however, has enabled increased access and interference in the private sphere of the population and is leading towards unauthorised access which will exploit any user's unawareness and any vulnerability of the system for unauthorized access and retrieval of information from networks and devices. The company Gartner assumes that by 2020 there will be over 20 billion devices connected to the IoT. A good part of these devices which in themselves will not be included in the umbrella security policy or the architecture itself will not allow a certain level of security or will be used by inexperienced users will be available on the World Wide Web to an unauthorized approach.
