Abstract

Secondary title: EDUCATION OF OLDER ADULTS IN COMPANIES
Secondary abstract: Given that the age for retirement increases, we need to work on education for older adults, to remain flexible for the labor market. It should be noted that, older people can experience their pursuit of new knowledge and in their work, contribute to the competitiveness of enterprises. This should be especially aware of business, that should invest in the education of their older employees. The purpose of master's thesis is to present the importance of organizing training in the company. Here we selected primarily on the appropriateness of the content of education, setting aims and objectives of education, motivation for learning, and the process itself. The objective functions, however, is exemplary illustration of how different companies in Slovenia provide for the training of older employees. To this end, the thesis presented in the theoretical part of education, older adults, education in business and motivation for education. All authors agree that, adult education is very important that it be properly implemented and adequately motivated seniors. In the research work are using the SPSS program presents the results, showing estimates of respondents who are employed and more than 50 years. These are evaluated how their company is taken care of education. A very surprising finding in the survey, most respondents estimated that they have the same or better opportunities for education compared with younger counterparts, which means that companies are already aware that older people can still make a major contribution to the competitiveness of enterprises. Obviously, businesses are not aware that the older have a different approach to learning and a different view of innovation because of their experiences and thoughts. Too few employees are also listens to well and does not explore the educational needs. Such companies do not know which employees lack knowledge and are not trained in the field or failures are not trained at all. According to the survey it was noted that the mentality that the older are a "burden" to society and can not contribute to the development of slowly changing. Thus, older and starting to educate them adapt teaching methods, which in Slovenia is being developed. Lifelong Learning puts old people in the position of learning and advancing. To assist companies were eventually presented with suggestions for improvement.
