Abstract

V raziskavi so sodelovale medicinske sestre in zdravstveni tehniki, iz raziskave so bile izvzete glavne medicinske sestre oddelkov in njihove namestnice oz. namestniki. Vrnjenih smo dobili 99 vprašalnikov, kar predstavlja 99 %. Cronbach Alfa je 0,931. Dobljene podatke smo obdelali s pomočjo računalniških programov Microsoft Office Excel ter SPSS for Windows 16.0. Rezultati. Sklep. Potrebne so številne spremembe na področju vodenja. Zaposleni so jasno pokazali, da jim transformacijski stil vodenja prinaša največ zadovoljstva. Uporaba le-tega zaposlene motivira in jih navdušuje v tolikšni meri, da so pripravljeni slediti zahtevam in ciljem organizacije.

Secondary title: EFFECTS OF LEADERSHIP STYLES TO THE SATISFACTION OF EMPLOYEES IN NURSING CARE
Secondary abstract: Good leadership is a constant superior performance, which has a positive long-term effects on all employees. Leaders are not only those, who control the other, but act as visionaries, who help employees to plan, manage, control and organize their work. Purpose. Determine the dominant management style in nursing care and to study the impact of different leadership styles on staff satisfaction in health care. Research Methodology. The survey was based on the descriptive (descriptive) and non-experimental causal-empirical method of research. As an instrument, we used a questionnaire. The research sample included 100 employees in one of the general hospitals. The study included nurses and medical technicians, from the study were excluded nurse leaders and their deputies. We got 99 returned questionnaires, representing 99%. Cronbach Alpha was 0.931. The resulting data were analyzed using computer programs Microsoft Excel and SPSS for Windows 16.0. Results. The survey results show, that in the general hospital dominates transformational leadership style (PV = 3.31), which is used almost as often as transactional leadership style (PV = 3.09). We also found that transformational leadership is positively correlated with employee satisfaction in health care, and that the laissez faire leadership negatively correlated with employee satisfaction in health care. Average value of employee satisfaction with management of the nurse leader is 3.21. Conclusion. Many changes in area of leadership are needed. Employees have clearly demonstrated that transformtional leadership style is the one which brings them the most satisfaction. The use of this style motivates employees and inspires them to such extent, that they are willing to follow the requirements and objectives of the organization.
