(diplomsko delo)
Abstract
V diplomskem delu smo predstavili obvezna cepljenja predšolskih otrok. Opisali smo, zakaj je treba otroke cepiti, s katerimi cepivi se cepijo in kakšni so možni stranski učinki cepljenj.
Rezultati. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da so starši dovolj informirani o obveznem cepljenju otrok. Veliko jih samih pridobi informacije, vendar večjih dilem in dvomov glede cepljenja ni. Največ informacij o cepljenju pridobijo od zdravnika in medicinske sestre.
Sklep.

Parents' familiarity with obligatory preschool vaccination |
Secondary abstract: |
In our diploma paper we presented the mandatory vaccinations for preschool children. We described why we vaccinate, which vaccines we vaccinate with and the possible side effects of a vaccination. We also described the parents’ dilemmas concerning the mandatory vaccinations and what part they have in their child’s vaccination. Furthermore we focused on the roles and parts of nurses at the vaccination. In the empirical part of the diploma paper we introduced the results of the survey with which we wanted to determine the knowledge and opinions parents have about the mandatory vaccination of preschool children.
Methodology of the research. Our research was based on the quantitative method. The purpose of the research was to determine how informed are the parents about the importance of the vaccination and with which vaccinations there are the most dilemmas with the parents. We got the data with the help of an anonymous questionnaire. The questionnaire was carried out among parents that came to the preventive checkup with their children at Zdravstveni dom Gornja Radgona and Zdravstveni dom dr. Adolfa Drolca Maribor. The survey contained 17 questions of which 12 were open type questions, 2 half open type and 3 questions of closed type.
Results. The results of the survey show that parents are well informed about the mandatory vaccination, lots of them got the information on their own; however, there are no bigger dilemmas and doubts about the vaccination. They got the most information from the doctor and the nurse.
Conclusion. The mandatory vaccination of preschool children is important as primarily we want to protect them from contagious diseases which could have severe consequences during the childhood or further on in life. The role of a nurse at the vaccination itself or by the medical education is very important. They need to inform the parents that the vaccination does not only protect the child but the whole family and the community. |
