Abstract

Metodologija raziskovanja. Z deskriptivno in analitično metodo dela smo želeli ugotoviti ozaveščenost srednješolcev s spolno prenosljivimi boleznimi in spolno vzgojo. V ta namen smo anketirali dijake srednje šole za gostinstvo in turizem. Naredili smo primerjavo med dijaki prvih in tretjih letnikov. Rezultati raziskovanja. Sklep. Spolno prenosljive bolezni in spolna vzgoja sta še zmeraj dve temi, kateri mladostniki, starši, šola in zdravstveno vzgojni delavci posvečamo premalo časa in pozornosti.

Secondary title: High-schoolers awareness of sexually transmitted diseases and education
Secondary abstract: Due to the lack of awareness and insufficient stress on sex education, sexually transmitted diseases pose a great problem among students and youngsters in general. It is the parents’ responsibility to educate the child about sexuality in his early stages of life, whereas later this role is assumed by the school and medical institutions. Research methodology. The aim of the research conducted with a descriptive and analytic method was to find out how much the students know about sexually transmitted diseases and sexuality in general. To that end, we interviewed students of the High School for Gas-tronomy and Tourism. Then we did a comparison between the results of the first year and third year students. Research results. We found no greater differences in awareness in both cases. Both, the students of the first and third year, show a lacking knowledge on the matter. Most inter-viewees know little about sexually transmitted diseases, most of them, however, call for an introduction of compulsory sexual education to the elementary school curriculum. Conclusion. Students have a low awareness about sexually transmitted diseases, and there-fore it should be raised. Considering the fact that most students wish to learn more about the given topic and expressed a desire for sexual education in the course .
