diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študija Varstvoslovje
Abstract
V naslednjih poglavjih sem ob predstavitvi Poljske obravnaval obseg in spremembe trendov nekaterih kaznivih dejanj v obdobju od leta 1995 do leta 2007.
Testiral sem obstoj trendov kriminalitete in izračunal standardno napako ocene.

In my diploma paper, titled Crime Trends in Poland, I have studied and presented crime trends in Poland on the basis of overview of literature and on the basis of available statistical data (the main source being European Sourcebook of Crime and Criminal Justice Statistics).
The diploma paper first discusses the problems that modern societies face and which lead to different types of crime, then some problems of data collection and sources through which this data may be obtained. In the following chapters, I presented Poland and discussed the size and changes in crime trends from 1995 to 2007. Crime trends for chosen criminal offences in Poland were presented and, followed by a comparison with criminal offences in Slovenia and the Visegrad Group countries which include, beside Poland, the CzechRepublic, Slovakia and Hungary.
Data on trends were presented in tabular and graphical form, and then interpreted.
In the last part of the paper, the number of criminal offences per 100,000 inhabitants of Poland in 2008 was forecasted by calculating the linear trend. The existence of trend is tested, standard error of estimation is calculated. |
