Abstract

Anketiranci so v povprečju najbolj zadovoljni s kolektivom (z oceno 3,74) in najmanj s plačo (z oceno 2,83).

Secondary title: Sickness absenteeism in selected public institution in central region
Secondary abstract: Sickness absenteeism is a temporary absence of an employee from work due to illness, injury or care of a family member and is a common challenge in public and private sector organizations. Sickness absenteeism is formally manifested through health reasons, but it is necessary to study sickness absenteeism from a broader perspective and include all informal causes that may be connected with sickness absenteeism. In the diploma we studied the connection between sickness absenteeism and employee satisfaction and stress of employees at the Employment Service of Slovenia in the central region. The research of the diploma was carried out with the help of an questionnaire, which consists four parts. The results showed that 66.31% of respondents had sickness absenteeism in the last 12 months, most often due to illness or injury (60.31% of respondents who had sickness absenteeism in the last 12 months). Respondents are on average most satisfied with the collective (with a score of 3.74) and at least with the salary (with a score of 2.83 Respondents are most often under stress due to working hours(with a score of 2.74) and least due to the collective (with a score of 2.16). Based on the results, we found that there is a statistical correlation between sickness absenteeism and the employee satisfaction and stress in the Emoloyment Service of Slovenia in central region. We also proved that women over 55 years have higher sickness absenteeism than men over 55 years. With the research we gained insight into the real situation in the field of sickness absenteeism, employee satisfaction and stress. We also formed the basis for further improvement of the situation. With appropriate proposals we could achieve higher employee satisfaction, lower employee stress and lower sickness absenteeism.
