Abstract

Brezkrtačni enosmerni motorji pokrivajo širok spekter naprav, saj dosegajo visoke hitrosti, navor in dolgo življenjsko dobo. Ključni problemi so bili vzpostaviti povezavo z vezjem, ustrezna nastavitev mikrokontrolerja, nastaviti tokovno zaščito in določiti obratovalni cikel za upravljanje tranzistorjev v šest-koračnem načinu.

Secondary title: Controlling brushless motors
Secondary abstract: Brushless DC motors cover a wide range of applications, delivering high speeds, torque and long lifetime. Sensorless BLDC motors include all of that and are also more space-optimised and cheaper. After all, why would we use mechanical devices to switch stator winding currents when we can do it with an electronic circuit. Therefore my thesis focuses on the implementation of software code on a pre-built electronic circuit, which together form a product for industry. The software code was made using STM programs which are used for this type of motors. Key problems were establishing connection with my electronic circuit, properly setting up the microcontroller, overcurrent protection and defining the duty cycle for transistors in six-step commutation. I also had to set all the parameters for the motor I was using. I took the measurements in Domel's laboratory and found out that it is a properly functioning motor and could be used for various battery-powered applications.
