Abstract

Uvod in namen: Zapoznela mišična bolečina (ZMB) se najpogosteje pojavi 12 do 24 ur po visokointenzivni vadbi. Simptomi svoj vrhunec navadno dosežejo v 24 do 72 urah. Vključitveni kriteriji so zajemali študije v angleškem jeziku, objavljene po letu 1985, pregledne znanstvene članke, metaanalize, randomizirane kontrolirane klinične raziskave in strokovne članke. RBE). Uporabnost: Uporaba metode RBE je učinkovito sredstvo preventive pred pojavom simptomov ZMB. Omejitve: Večina študij ima majhno število preiskovancev in kratkoročno proučevanje, zato je metodološka kakovost večine študij slaba.

Secondary title: Effectiveness of methods for delayed onset muscle soreness symptoms reduction
Secondary abstract: Introduction and purpose: Delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) begins to develop approximately 12 to 24 hours after the cessation of intense exercise. The DOMS sensation usually intensifies and peaks 24 to 48 hours after exercise. DOMS clinically presents as pain during a passive stretch or active contraction of the muscle, local edema, higher tissue temperature, reduced range of motion and loss of strength. The purpose of the thesis was to make a systematic reviw of literature and grade the efficiency of modalities for DOMS symptoms prevention and treatment. Methods: The systematic literature review was used by searching in PubMed and PEDro electronic databases. Only studies written in the English language, published after 1985, systematic literature reviews, academic articles, metaanalyses, randomized and controlled clinical trials were included. The exclusion criteria was a sample size smaller than 10 participants. Results: 22 studies were included in the literature analysis. The most effective physiotherapeutic methode for DOMS treatment and prevention is repeated bout effect (RBE). Usability: The use of RBE method effectively prevents DOMS symptoms. Limitations: Most studies have small sample sizes and are short term clinical trials. Therefore the quality of these studies is low.
