Abstract

Secondary title: The consequences of the restrictive measures due to the covid-19 pandemic on pupils' motor skills
Secondary abstract: The master thesis entitled "The Consequences of the Restrictive Measures Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic on Pupils' Motor Skills" was set out to determine and to investigate, using the results of the physical education card, the changes in pupils' motor skills over the years 2019, 2020 and 2021 and whether there are any known effects of COVID-19 restrictive measures on pupils' motor skills. The empirical part presents the results of the physical education card and the interpretation of the results, carried out on a non-randomised sample of the population of pupils from 1st to 9th grade of two primary schools. The data were processed in SPPS 27. The analysis of variance was used to identify differences in motor skills between the 2019, 2020 and 2021 generations. A Post Hoc test was used to check which groups differ according to the measurement year. Statistical significance was considered at the p < 0.05 level. The results of the analysis show that there are no statistically significant differences between the 2019, 2020 and 2021 generations of pupils, except for ATV and PRE of boys of the 1st educational period, AKGN and PRE of boys of the 2nd educational period, VZG of girls of the 2nd educational period, T600 of boys of the 3rd educational period, and DT and T600 of girls of the 3rd educational period. The results showed that there were few tests with statistical significance, suggesting that the epidemiological measures did not deteriorate children's motor skills. We note that the measures taken to contain the COVID-19 pandemic had negative consequences on children's physical and motor development, especially in the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, but that in 2021 there is evidence of a progress, however, it is significantly smaller than with previous generations.
