(specialistično delo)
Abstract
Kot raziskovalni instrument smo uporabili anketni vprašalnik PROMIS HAQ, s katerim smo pridobili samooceno opravilnih zmožnosti pacientov z revmatskim obolenjem. Anketirali smo 74 pacientov s kroničnim revmatskim obolenjem iz območja Maribora. Pridobljene podatke smo statistično obdelali s pomočjo računalniških programov Microsoft Exel in SPSS 20,0.
Zelo pomembno je kronično revmatsko obolenje pravočasno prepoznati in zdraviti. Osnovna naloga patronažne sestre je edukacija pacienta in svojcev v smislu lajšanja bolečine, ohranjanju psihične in fizične kondicije, kar pa zagotavljanja čim višjo samooskrbo pacienta in kakovost življenja.

Quality of life of patients with Chronic rheumatic diseases |
Secondary abstract: |
Chronic rheumatic diseases largely affect health-related quality of life. The goal of treatment is not only to relieve symptoms and prevent disease-related complications, but also to improve the quality of life. Chronic rheumatic diseases manifest themselves in very diverse clinical pictures, which vary from patient to patient. So it is necessary that community nurse‘s approach to each patient is individual and holistic. That enables patients to reach the highest possible level of quality of life. The purpose of this work is to present the patient’s quality of life and the role of a community nurse.
Research methods: The study is based on quantitative methodology. As a research tool we applied a questionnaire PROMIS HAQ, with which we acquired self-assessment of the ability for performing daily activities of patients with rheumatic disease. We surveyed 74 patients with chronic rheumatic disease in Maribor area. Acquired data were statistically analyzed using computer programs Microsoft Excel and SPSS 20.0.
Results: We found that the overall mobility of surveyed patients with chronic rheumatic disease is moderate. Self-care in a domestic environment is able to perform on average 50% of patients with chronic rheumatic disease. We also found out that the dependence of surveyed patients with chronic rheumatic disease of the devices and/or other persons is on average 50%. The duration of chronic rheumatic disease affects the quality of life negatively in 74% of patients. 30% of questioned patients with chronic rheumatic disease are very dissatisfied with their quality of life.
Conclusion: The quality of life after diagnosing the chronic rheumatic disease grows worse with 74% of patients, which is a shocking figure. It is very important to recognize and start treating chronic rheumatic disease early. The basic task of the community nurse is to educate patients and their families about pain relief, preservation of mental and physical fitness, and also to ensure the highest possible patient’s quality of life and self-care ability. |
