Abstract

Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti nekatere vidike kakovosti študija in ugotoviti stališča študentov o kakovosti študija na Fakulteti za organizacijske vede. Dejstvo je, da se s problemom kakovosti študija soočajo fakultete po celotni Sloveniji, nas pa je zanimalo, kako študij in segmente študija ocenjujejo študenti naše fakultete. Teoretični del diplomskega dela zajema definicije in segmente, na katere smo razdelili kakovost študija. Zelo kmalu smo prišli do spoznanja, kako obširna tema je pravzaprav kakovost študija in koliko faktorjev jo definira. Raziskovanje o kakovosti študija je zgodba, ki se nikoli ne konča, tako kot znanje. Teoretični del diplome predstavi opredelitve pojmov kakovosti študija, standardov, ki se jih visokošolske institucije držijo, opis bolonjskega procesa in predstavitev Fakultete za organizacijske vede. V raziskovalnem delu smo prišli do želenih podatkov s pomočjo vprašalnika, ki smo ga naključno razdelili med študente. Zanimalo nas je, kako študenti zaznavajo kakovost študija, kaj pričakujejo od učiteljev, kaj jih motivira pri študiju, kako oziroma koliko so se pripravljeni vključiti v sam proces izobraževanja in ugotavljali smo, če so študenti višjih letnikov bolj pripravljeni prispevati h kakovosti študija. V teoretičnem delu smo ugotovili, da se Fakulteta za organizacijske vede zaveda vrednosti kakovostnega študija in se vztrajno trudi dvigniti kakovost. V raziskovalnem delu pa smo s pomočjo anketirancev ugotovili, da študenti najbolj definirajo visoko kakovost študija z vrhunskimi učitelji, ki imajo profesionalen odnos do študenta, veliko praktičnega znanja, zanimivo pa je, da si študenti dejansko želijo med študijem napredovati tudi osebnostno. Samo vzdušje na Fakulteti za organizacijske vede je ocenjeno kot ugodno, vendar nas moti relativno nizka ocena v povezavi z ustvarjalnostjo, ki je po mnenju študentov študij na Fakulteti za organizacijske vede ne spodbuja. Prav tako predlagamo, da bi učitelji v dobi informacijske tehnologije prilagodili ocenjevanje znanja, menimo tudi, da mora Fakulteta bolje spromovirati možnost prakse in študija v tujini ter e-študij, ki ga je akreditirala z letošnjim letom.

Secondary abstract: The main purpose of this diploma thesis is to present some of the aspects of the quality of study and to research students' views on quality of study at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. Faculties across Slovenia face the subject of quality in higher education and we were interested in how the students of our faculty define and evaluate the mentioned subject. The theoretical part consists of definitions and segments which deal with quality of study. Quickly, we came to the conclusion that the quality of education is a very comprehensive subject and determined by many factors. Study quality research is endless, like knowledge. The theoretical part introduces definitions of concepts, standards used by higher education institutions, a description of the Bologna Process and a presentation of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. In the research part of the thesis we came to the desired data with the help of a questionnaire which we distributed randomly among the students. We were interested in how students perceive the quality of study, what they expect from professors, what motivates them most, how or how much are they themselves prepared to get involved in the educational process itself and we observed how much are senior students prepared to contribute to a higher level of quality of study. In the theoretical part we realized that the Faculty of Organizational Sciences is aware of the value of quality study and is persistant at improving it. In the research part we came to the conclusion with a help of the questionnaire that students mostly associate high quality of study with high quality professors who have a professional attitude towards each student, a lot of practical knowledge and - what came as a pleasant surprise - students want to achieve personal progress. The atmosphere at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences is evaluated as favourable, but we were disturbed by relatively low rating of creativity which is not stimulating enough according to students' opinions. Furthermore, we suggest that professors in the age of information technology customize the evaluation of knowledge. We also believe that our faculty needs to focuse on and promote the possibilities of practice and study abroad as well as e-study, which it accredited this year.
