Abstract

Vsako igro smo nato izvedli v vrtcu in beležili sprotna opažanja. Namen in cilji so bili, da otroci bolje spoznajo geometrijska telesa in like, da jih bodo samostojno prepoznavali in znali opisati njihove osnovne lastnosti. Otroci si geometrijske like težje predstavljajo, saj jih je v okolju težje opaziti kot geometrijska telesa, zato smo več poudarka namenili geometrijskim likom. S pomočjo izbranih iger smo ugotovili, da so se otroci že srečali z geometrijskimi liki, nekoliko manj so seznanjeni z geometrijskimi telesi.

Secondary title: Geometry games for Preeschool children
Secondary abstract: In the diploma paper entitled Geometry Games for Preschool Children, we covered the theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, we presented geometry throughout history, described and presented examples of geometric shapes, presented angular and round geometric bodies and briefly described them. In the practical part, we chose mathematical games from the field of geometry, which we believed would be interesting and educational for children. Each game was then performed in the kindergarten and we simultaneously documented our observations. The purpose and goals were for children to get to know geometric bodies and shapes better, to recognize them independently and to be able to describe their basic properties. It is difficult for children to visualise geometric shapes, as they are harder to notice in the environment than geometric bodies, which is why the emphasis was more on geometric shapes. With the help of the selected games, we found that the children were already familiar with geometric shapes, but less so with geometric bodies.
